Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Moonrise, Hernandez, Northern New Mexico, 1941 by Ansel Adams was sold in the The Range of Light: Photographs by Ansel Adams auction at Christies in New York in April 2014. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,061.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).

Die Arbeit Moonrise, Hernandez, Northern New Mexico, 1941 von Ansel Adams wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion The Range of Light: Photographs by Ansel Adams bei Christies in New York versteigert.
