The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,451.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Copley Fielding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
