Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Woman Leaning Over A Balcony by Apostolos Geralis. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,299.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Apostolos Geralis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Young Girl By The Window, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 47,748.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Woman Leaning Over A Balcony von Apostolos Geralis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.299,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Apostolos Geralis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Young Girl By The Window beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 47.748,82) versteigert wurde.
