In July last year Christies in London held the auction Five Private Collections, which included the work Paysage de Damiette by Armand Guillaumin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,195.88), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Armand Guillaumin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chemin À Damiette in March 2014 with an auction result of EUR 325,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Five Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage de Damiette von Armand Guillaumin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.195,88) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Armand Guillaumin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chemin À Damiette im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 325.500,00.
