Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux 1400-1900, which included the work Un Cardinal En Prière Dans L’Église Saint-Sébastien De Venise by Frans Vervloet. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,125, 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frans Vervloet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zwölf Ansichten von Pompeji in May 2017 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux 1400-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Un Cardinal En Prière Dans L’Église Saint-Sébastien De Venise von Frans Vervloet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.125 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Vervloet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zwölf Ansichten von Pompeji im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400.
