Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Arnold Boonen was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,663.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Boonen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A candlelit interior with a young man seated at a table, lighting his pipe in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 108,000.00.

Die Arbeit Unknown von Arnold Boonen kam im April 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.663,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Boonen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A candlelit interior with a young man seated at a table, lighting his pipe im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 108.000,00.
