Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Cloud-Burst by Atul Dodiya for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,851.62). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Atul Dodiya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Painters in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cloud-Burst von Atul Dodiya für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.851,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Atul Dodiya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Painters im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 541.000,00 (€ 380.476,83).
