Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Abstract Composition by Avigdor Arikha was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 7,107.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avigdor Arikha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On A Sheet in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Abstract Composition von Avigdor Arikha wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 7.107,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86).
