This artwork by Avigdor Arikha achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2017. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work La Levée De Mes Deux Éclipses sold for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,198.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avigdor Arikha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On A Sheet in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Avigdor Arikha erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wurde die Arbeit La Levée De Mes Deux Éclipses für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.198,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86).
