The work Studio Corner by Avigdor Arikha was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,500.00 (€ 43,669.94), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Avigdor Arikha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude On A Sheet, which sold at auction in December 2017 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).

Die Arbeit Studio Corner von Avigdor Arikha wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 43.669,94) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86) versteigert wurde.
