In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,435.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Avinash Chandra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 104,906.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Avinash Chandra erzielte im September 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.435,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Avinash Chandra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 104.906,27).
