Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Nude With Still-Life) by Badri Narayan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,742.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Badri Narayan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 52,908.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Nude With Still-Life) von Badri Narayan wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.742,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Badri Narayan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 52.908,17).
