The work Love Rat by Banksy was sold in the Banksy auction at Sothebys in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 105,175.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Love Rat von Banksy wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Banksy bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 105.175,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
