The work Sale Ends by Banksy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 27,045.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sale Ends von Banksy kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 27.045,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
