Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Rhine Landscape In The Evening by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was sold in the Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. The price achieved of EUR 73,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.

Die Arbeit A Rhine Landscape In The Evening von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 73.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
