Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A village landscape with travellers on the street by a vegetable seller by Barent Gael. The price achieved of EUR 9,560.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barent Gael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travellers at a blacksmith's in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 117,020.00 (€ 54,822.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A village landscape with travellers on the street by a vegetable seller von Barent Gael zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.560,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barent Gael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travellers at a blacksmith's im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 117.020,00 (€ 54.822,00).
