In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Travellers At Halt By An Inn by Barent Gael. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,621.31), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Barent Gael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travellers at a blacksmith's in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 117,020.00 (€ 54,822.00).

Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travellers At Halt By An Inn von Barent Gael zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.621,31) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barent Gael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travellers at a blacksmith's im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 117.020,00 (€ 54.822,00).
