Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Christopher by Barthel Beham was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in New York in January 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,547.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barthel Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Ludwig X, Duke Of Bavaria in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 376,664.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saint Christopher von Barthel Beham wurde im Januar 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.547,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barthel Beham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Ludwig X, Duke Of Bavaria im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 376.664,58).
