Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bartholomeus Breenbergh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2017. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Christ Healing The Blind sold for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,468.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bartholomeus Breenbergh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Classical Landscape With Mercury And Argos sold at auction in July 2001 with the realized price of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 167,320.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bartholomeus Breenbergh erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Christ Healing The Blind für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 98.468,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bartholomeus Breenbergh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Classical Landscape With Mercury And Argos im Juli 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 102.750,00 (€ 167.320,96).
