Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The Madonna and Child by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 111,608.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ the Man of Sorrows in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,472,000.00 (€ 3,587,969.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child von Bartolomé Esteban Murillo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 111.608,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomé Esteban Murillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ the Man of Sorrows im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.472.000,00 (€ 3.587.969,60).
