The »bidding war« ended at GBP 446.50 (€ 706.28), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Berenice Sydney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orbiting in March 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,223.72).

Die Arbeit Claire de Lune von Berenice Sydney wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion British Pop Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 706,28) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Berenice Sydney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orbiting im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.223,72).
