Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction British Pop Prints, which included the work Jazz by Berenice Sydney. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 305.50 (€ 483.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berenice Sydney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orbiting in March 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,223.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Pop Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jazz von Berenice Sydney zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 305,50 (€ 483,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berenice Sydney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orbiting im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.223,72).
