Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Despair by Bertha Wegmann was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,022.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bertha Wegmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Danish tender Moments in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 89,711.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Despair von Bertha Wegmann kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.022,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bertha Wegmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Danish tender Moments im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 89.711,50).
