Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I, which included the work Jeune fille rousse en chapeau by Berthe Morisot. The price achieved of EUR 163,800 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as EUR 150,000 - 200,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000 (€ 4,780,966).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune fille rousse en chapeau von Berthe Morisot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 163.800 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 150.000 – 200.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000 (€ 4.780.966).
