Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I, which included the work La cruche d'eau by Berthe Morisot. The price achieved of EUR 678,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Berthe Morisot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000.00 (€ 4,780,965.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I durch, in der auch die Arbeit La cruche d'eau von Berthe Morisot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 678.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000,00 (€ 4.780.965,81).
