Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bian Shoumin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Geese In Winter Reeds sold for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 115,581.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bian Shoumin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Album of Geese and Other Subjects sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bian Shoumin erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Geese In Winter Reeds für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 115.581,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bian Shoumin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
