In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Spring Landscape by C. C. Wang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,697.61), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by C. C. Wang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lantern Festival, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,239.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring Landscape von C. C. Wang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.697,61) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von C. C. Wang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lantern Festival beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.239,07) versteigert wurde.
