Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The picnic by Carl Frederik Aagaard was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2002. The price achieved of GBP 376.00 (€ 588.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Frederik Aagaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mossy Rocks in a Stream in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 15,006.25).
