Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Jacob's Dream by Carlo Dolci was sold in the Important Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2005. The price achieved of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 121,841.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Dolci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Agatha, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 248,750.00 (€ 278,903.45).
