Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR, which included the work His Excellency Musurus Bey The Turkish Ambassador by Carlo Pellegrini. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,960.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Pellegrini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Adelboden, which sold at auction in January 2016 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,365.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR durch, in der auch die Arbeit His Excellency Musurus Bey The Turkish Ambassador von Carlo Pellegrini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.960,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Pellegrini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Adelboden beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.365,68) versteigert wurde.
