Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Un colpo di canone by Carlo Zinelli was sold in the 20TH CENTURY SELF-TAUGHT AND OUTSIDER ART auction at Christies in New York in January 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,352.50 (€ 10,571.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlo Zinelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1957 in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,652.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Un colpo di canone von Carlo Zinelli wurde im Januar 2003 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY SELF-TAUGHT AND OUTSIDER ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 10.571,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Zinelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 1957 im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.652,87).
