Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2003 Christies in New York held the auction 20TH CENTURY SELF-TAUGHT AND OUTSIDER ART, which included this untitled work by Carlo Zinelli. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,145.00 (€ 12,240.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Zinelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1957, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,652.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20TH CENTURY SELF-TAUGHT AND OUTSIDER ART durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carlo Zinelli zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.145,00 (€ 12.240,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Zinelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1957 beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.652,87) versteigert wurde.
