Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2015 Christies in London held the auction Australian Art, which included the work Seated Nude by Charles Blackman. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,200.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Blackman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alice Amongst Flowers in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 356,500.00 (€ 484,423.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Nude von Charles Blackman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.200,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Blackman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alice Amongst Flowers im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 356.500,00 (€ 484.423,03).
