This artwork by Charles Lapicque achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March 2010. In the The Collection of Alexandre and Odile Loewy, Modern Art auction, the work Le Phare sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Lapicque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait d'un Tigre in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 325,638.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Lapicque erzielte im März 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Alexandre and Odile Loewy, Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Le Phare für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Lapicque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait d'un Tigre im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 325.638,59).
