Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Belgian Winter Landscape by Charles Leickert. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,927.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Leickert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 132,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian Winter Landscape von Charles Leickert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.927,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Leickert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.250,00.
