Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Southend-On-Sea by Charles Pears was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 896.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Pears achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mauretania in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 38,812.00 (€ 43,932.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Southend-On-Sea von Charles Pears kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 896,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Pears erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mauretania im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.812,00 (€ 43.932,86).
