It achieved a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,981.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).

Die Arbeit The Snake Charmer von Charles Wilda kam im Januar 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.981,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Wilda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Egyptian Antiques Seller im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.000,00 (€ 347.978,48).
