Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Painted Steel, Aluminum, And Oak Storage Unit, 1952 by Charlotte Perriand was sold in the Jean Prouvé's Prototype Maison Tropicale and Works by Jean Prouvé,Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret from the Collection of Eric Touchaleaume auction at Christies in New York in June 2007. The price achieved of USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,426.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlotte Perriand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Important “Bibliotheque Murale,” in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 254,264.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Painted Steel, Aluminum, And Oak Storage Unit, 1952 von Charlotte Perriand wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion Jean Prouvé's Prototype Maison Tropicale and Works by Jean Prouvé,Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret from the Collection of Eric Touchaleaume bei Christies in New York versteigert.
