Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing Village by Chen Wen Hsi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 92,293.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishing Village von Chen Wen Hsi wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 92.293,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wen Hsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasar (Market) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.256.407,24).
