Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Village by Chen Wen Hsi. The price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 19,624.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village von Chen Wen Hsi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 19.624,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wen Hsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasar (Market) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.256.407,24).
