Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Day's End by Chen Yiming was sold in the THE CURRIER COLLECTION OF CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2002. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,800.00 (€ 6,201.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yiming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Day's End von Chen Yiming wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion THE CURRIER COLLECTION OF CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.800,00 (€ 6.201,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yiming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
