Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Camellia and Plum Blossom by Cheng Shifa was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 17,950.68). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheng Shifa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies in Leisurely Pursuits in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 7,480,000.00 (€ 707,419.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Camellia and Plum Blossom von Cheng Shifa wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 17.950,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheng Shifa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies in Leisurely Pursuits im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.480.000,00 (€ 707.419,35).
