Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2013 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Grand View: A Night in Hong Kong, which included the work Bamboo by Empress Dowager Cixi. The price achieved of HKD 437,000.00 (€ 41,469.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Empress Dowager Cixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus, Root and Seed in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 312,380.66).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2013 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Grand View: A Night in Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboo von Empress Dowager Cixi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.000,00 (€ 41.469,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Empress Dowager Cixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus, Root and Seed im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 312.380,66).
