Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work TABOURET CROCOCURULE, 2008 by Claude Lalanne was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 439,500.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Lalanne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Banc Crocodiles in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 2,432,500.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit TABOURET CROCOCURULE, 2008 von Claude Lalanne im September 2017 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 120.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 439.500,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Lalanne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Banc Crocodiles im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.432.500,00.
