Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In The Park by Clifford Fishwick was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 487.98). Admittedly, works by Clifford Fishwick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dartmoor Panorama in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In The Park von Clifford Fishwick im Juni 2001 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 293,75 (€ 487,98) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clifford Fishwick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dartmoor Panorama im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.896,50).
