In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Une Vache Brune Et Deux Moutons En Marché Dans Un Prairie by Constant Troyon for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,195.23). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house.
