Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The watermill by Cornelis Lieste was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 635.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Lieste achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with skaters near a Dutch town in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 635,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Lieste erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with skaters near a Dutch town im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
