Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 9,850.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Troost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Drinkenburg' (The Morning After) in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 639,000.00 (€ 557,883.71).
