Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde, which included the work The Exam Room by Cyril Power. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,920.00 (€ 20,643.15), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cyril Power have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Exam Room von Cyril Power zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.920,00 (€ 20.643,15) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyril Power auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
