Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Appeal To The Great Spirit by Cyrus Edwin Dallin. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,358.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cyrus Edwin Dallin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Massasoit' in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 191,464.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Appeal To The Great Spirit von Cyrus Edwin Dallin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.358,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyrus Edwin Dallin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Massasoit' im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 191.464,90).
